The robots cling to glass and wipe it automatically, which makes them appealing for large windows and hard-to-reach panes — but the category has persistent weaknesses. Streaking is the classic complaint, and manufacturers attack it with different squeegee designs; Hobot's SP10 iScraper, for instance, uses two retractable rubber lips that heise calls unique in the test field. Safety is the other consideration: most units run on backup battery power and a vacuum seal, so how they behave if either fails matters as much as cleaning quality.
