The lawsuits target recurring price hikes across the streaming services, which consumer groups argue were not adequately communicated to subscribers or sufficiently justified by improved service. In Germany, collective consumer lawsuits allow organizations to pursue claims on behalf of large groups of affected users, and these cases could set precedent for streaming pricing transparency across the European Union.
