Singapore's economy is growing faster than almost anyone expected, and the government says artificial intelligence is the reason. On Tuesday, the Ministry of Trade and Industry (MTI) raised its 2026 GDP growth forecast to 4.5–5.5%, up sharply from the previous range of 2–4%, after revising second-quarter growth up to 5.9% year on year from an earlier flash estimate of 5.7%.
