Samsung took the stage in London on Wednesday for its summer Galaxy Unpacked event, unveiling a wide range of new devices including three foldable phones, two smartwatches, and its long-anticipated entry into the smart glasses market.

Three New Foldables

Samsung announced three new foldable smartphones, marking its most ambitious foldable lineup yet.

The Galaxy Z Flip 8 is the successor to last year's clamshell-style foldable, featuring a Samsung Exynos 2600 processor, 12GB of RAM, a 6.9-inch main display, and a 4.1-inch cover display. It starts at $1,199.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 introduces a new wider 4:3 aspect ratio inner display — 7.8 inches when unfolded — with a 5.4-inch outer display. It's designed to compete directly with Apple's rumored foldable iPhone, offering a more natural tablet-like experience when opened. Powered by the Snapdragon Elite 8 Gen 5 for Galaxy, it starts at $1,899.

The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the true flagship successor to last year's Z Fold 7. It features an 8-inch inner display, 6.5-inch cover display, a groundbreaking 200MP main camera, and up to 16GB of RAM. Samsung also introduced its new Flex Titanium technology — a titanium-alloy film and plate that reduces the display crease and improves durability. The Ultra starts at $2,099.

Galaxy Watch 9 and Watch Ultra 2

Samsung also refreshed its wearable lineup with two new smartwatches. The Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 gets a massive battery upgrade to 800 mAh — the largest of any Wear OS watch — making it ideal for extended outdoor excursions. Both models feature new processors and enhanced health-tracking capabilities powered by AI.

Galaxy Glasses — Samsung's Smart Glasses Debut

Perhaps the most anticipated reveal of the event was the Galaxy Glasses, Samsung's first smart glasses. Developed in partnership with Google, Warby Parker, and Gentle Monster, the glasses feature built-in cameras, microphones, and Google Gemini AI integration. Unlike AR headsets, these glasses focus on real-world AI assistance — answering questions about what you're seeing without a heads-up display.

The event was livestreamed on Samsung's website and YouTube channel, with pre-orders opening immediately for all announced devices.
