Meta has officially launched Meta One, a subscription service that bundles premium artificial intelligence, creator, and business features across Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp. The company announced the service on September 15, positioning it as a way for users to get more out of Meta's social media platforms.

The service offers several pricing tiers. Individual product subscriptions start at $2.99 per month for services like WhatsApp Plus and Instagram Plus. Individual bundles with enhanced AI capabilities start at $7.99 per month, while creator and business bundles cost $14.99 per month and include verification, advanced analytics, and enhanced customer support.

Meta said Meta One has already reached 15 million subscriptions and trials during its phased rollout ahead of the wider launch. The company is offering more than 50 features aimed at creators, businesses, and individual users.

The launch comes as Meta continues to diversify revenue beyond its core digital advertising business. With an average of 3.60 billion daily active people across its family of apps, even a small percentage of paying subscribers could become a meaningful revenue stream.

Meta said its basic services will continue to be available without a subscription, and core AI functions will remain free. The company plans to extend Meta One to Edits, its video creation app, and its AI-powered smart glasses.

The move signals a significant shift in social media business models, as Meta tests how much users will pay for premium features on services that have traditionally been free.
