Rockstar has unveiled the collector's edition for Grand Theft Auto 6, and the headline is what it does not contain: the game. The "Goodtime State Vice City Collection" is priced at $399.99 — around €400 in the German coverage, as Golem noted — and packages eleven items, among them a Macca the Gator figure and a full map poster. Purchases are limited to one per person and require being logged in to the Rockstar Store.
The box arrives ahead of the game's worldwide release on 19 November 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The standard edition is priced at $79.99, so buyers of the collector's box still need a copy of the game to play it. Anyone who pre-orders or buys before 20 November 2026 receives the Vintage Vice City Pack, according to the pre-order details circulated by retail trackers.
The pricing has drawn criticism in the run-up to launch, with the gap between the base game and a merchandise pack that omits it becoming the story itself. Rockstar is betting that collectibles and a physical map poster justify a price roughly five times the standard edition — while the studio still has to sell the game separately.
