Apple is not done with hardware for 2026. Details and images discovered in Apple's own code — found by MacRumors contributor Aaron Perris — reveal three upcoming products expected before year's end.
HomePod mini 2
The successor to the original HomePod mini, which debuted in late 2020, carries forward a similar design but with a notable color refresh. While the current model ships in bright orange, yellow, and blue, leaked images show the HomePod mini 2 in more subdued shades: green, pink, blue, white, and black — better suited to blending into existing home décor.
iPad mini 8
The eighth-generation iPad mini replaces the seventh-gen model from two years ago with a significant chip upgrade: from Apple's A17 Pro to the recently announced A20 Pro, the same silicon found in the iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and iPhone Duo.
Leaked images show Apple has moved the front-facing camera to the landscape edge of the tablet, and a groove on the top edge of the display — similar to the iPhone's Dynamic Island — suggests an added speaker. As previously reported by Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the iPad mini 8 could also include improved waterproofing via a vibration-based speaker and an OLED display like the larger iPad Pro.
Apple TV 4K
The current Apple TV is nearly four years old. The leaks don't reveal much about the new fourth-generation model's upgrades beyond a very similar design to its predecessor.
What's Next
Apple debuted the iPhone 18 Pro and the folding iPhone Duo earlier this month. These three products — HomePod mini 2, iPad mini 8, and Apple TV 4K — are expected to round out the company's 2026 hardware lineup.
