Anthropic has signed a new agreement with Google and Broadcom for multiple gigawatts of next-generation TPU capacity, expected to come online starting in 2027 — the largest compute commitment in the company's history. The deal will power Anthropic's frontier Claude models as demand from customers continues to surge.
The announcement landed as Anthropic's run-rate revenue passed $30 billion, up from roughly $9 billion at the end of 2025. More than 1,000 business customers now spend over $1 million annually — double the 500-customer figure the company shared during its Series G fundraising in February, a doubling achieved in less than two months.
Most of the new capacity will be sited in the United States, expanding Anthropic's November 2025 pledge to invest $50 billion in American computing infrastructure. The partnership deepens existing work with Google Cloud — building on the TPU capacity announced last October — and with Broadcom. Amazon remains Anthropic's primary cloud provider and training partner, including Project Rainier, and Claude trains and runs on a mix of AWS Trainium, Google TPUs, and NVIDIA GPUs.
'This groundbreaking partnership with Google and Broadcom is a continuation of our disciplined approach to scaling infrastructure,' said CFO Krishna Rao. 'We are making our most significant compute commitment to date to keep pace with our unprecedented growth.' Claude remains the only frontier AI model available on all three of the world's largest cloud platforms: AWS Bedrock, Google Cloud Vertex AI, and Microsoft Azure Foundry.
