Luxshare Precision Industry, the Shenzhen-based electronics manufacturer best known for assembling AirPods and iPhones for Apple, made its trading debut on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on Thursday — raising $3.1 billion in what is the city's largest listing of 2026.

Despite the record raise, shares opened at HK$63.25, just below the IPO price of HK$63.28, before sliding as much as 9.6% in early trading. The stock closed the day down more than 5%, reflecting cautious investor sentiment amid global trade uncertainty.

Hong Kong's Biggest 2026 Listing

The IPO was Hong Kong's largest so far this year and one of the most anticipated. Luxshare offered approximately 383.5 million shares, with the final price set at the top end of its indicative range. The listing gives the company access to international capital markets as it seeks to expand beyond its Apple-dependent manufacturing base.

Luxshare is already listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange with a market capitalization exceeding $68 billion. The Hong Kong secondary listing allows international investors easier access to the stock.

Apple Supply Chain Connections

Luxshare has grown exponentially as an Apple supplier, expanding from connectors and cables to full device assembly. The company now assembles AirPods, iPhones, and Apple Watch components, making it one of the most important partners in Apple's manufacturing ecosystem.

The Hong Kong listing comes at a pivotal time for Apple's supply chain strategy. As Apple pushes for geographic diversification — including the $30 billion Broadcom deal announced this week — Luxshare's ability to raise capital and expand manufacturing capacity strengthens its position in Apple's supplier network.

Market Context

The lukewarm debut reflects broader caution in Asian equity markets, where trade tensions between the US and China continue to weigh on sentiment. Despite the first-day dip, analysts noted that the successful completion of Hong Kong's largest 2026 IPO signals continued confidence in the city's capital markets.

Luxshare plans to use the proceeds for capacity expansion, R&D investment in advanced manufacturing, and working capital as it continues to scale its operations to meet Apple's demand.
