Israeli cybersecurity startup Huskeys has raised a $27 million Series A round led by Blackstone Innovations Investments at a valuation exceeding $100 million, the Wall Street Journal reported on September 1.
Huskeys addresses a problem that has emerged as AI agents — autonomous software entities that browse, interact with APIs, and perform tasks on behalf of users — have proliferated across the internet. This agentic traffic creates a new category of non-human requests that traditional security tools are poorly equipped to handle. Blocking the wrong traffic can mean lost customers and revenue, while allowing malicious traffic through can expose organizations to attacks.
The company uses its own agentic AI to fight agentic AI threats. Its system analyzes incoming traffic in real time to distinguish between legitimate AI agent interactions and malicious autonomous attacks — a classification problem that grows harder as the volume and sophistication of non-human internet traffic increases.
The investment reflects a broader market recognition that the rise of AI agents is reshaping the cybersecurity landscape in fundamental ways. As more companies deploy AI agents to interact with external services, the boundary between authorized automated access and hostile behavior becomes increasingly blurred. Security teams need new tools designed specifically for this non-human traffic, rather than relying on legacy systems built to detect human-initiated threats.
Huskeys' approach of using AI to defend against AI-powered attacks positions it at the intersection of two of the fastest-growing segments in enterprise technology: agentic AI platforms and autonomous cybersecurity. The Blackstone investment gives the company significant resources to scale its technology as the agentic AI ecosystem expands.
